Nokia's First Windows Mobile Phone

Nokia Connections is held at the Singapore conference, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, said this year Nokia will launch the first Windows mobile smart phone.

Elop said at the meeting: "I am increasingly convinced that we can launch this year of the first system that comes with Windows phones Nokia mobile Phone, a large number of shipments have to wait until next year."

Nokia also confirmed its commitment to continue to support Symbian. Elop announced that the system is equipped with Anna Symbian 2.0, Nokia N8 E7, C7, C6-01 cell phone market next month, but long time users have to wait until August to get an upgrade. In the next 12 months, Nokia plans to launch 10 new Symbian based smartphone.

In mobile phones, Nokia introduced three new entry-level phones C2-02, C2-03 and C2-06. One C2-03 to slide the keyboard plus touch screen phones, and supports dual card dual standby function. All three phones are supported S40 system, and a built-in Ovi map.


Nokia also showed off a new smartphone: Nokia N9. Nokia N9 brings meego1.2 system, with a 3.9-inch AMOLED screen, with three main windows, and dynamic multi-task, and accomplished through simple finger swipe navigation. Nokia N9 supports WCDMA and NFC capabilities. Nokia N9 will promote new and innovative consumer experiences, and encourage developers to build Qt applications more robust.

It is reported that, Qt application framework existing core Nokia smart phones, and today more than 100 million Nokia phones. Ovi store more and more consumers download the Qt application, especially in the Asia Pacific market, which is a Qt application of high-growth markets. Based on these trends, Nokia will vigorously develop a Qt application framework. For developers of Qt, this means that in the next few years will dramatically improve their chances.
